The Go Share earning app pays you in exchange for your details and also collects the personal information of your referrals. This seems suspicious and is probably a scam, as they can misuse your details, which can cause you privacy issues and even legal trouble in the future.
Go Share WhatsApp Earning App Scam
This platform allows you to earn a decent monthly income. As said earlier, you can earn up to Rs 50000 using this platform, but what if I say it is a scam, and they are fooling you?
This app pays you in exchange for access to your WhatsApp account. Wait what? What app account access? Yes, to earn from this app or platform, you have to give your WhatsApp account access to these platform creators or scammers.
And they can easily message anything to anyone with your WhatsApp or can probably scam someone, and the blame will be on you.
Sign Up Process
To get scammed from this app, you have to create an account first. When you visit their website, you will see an interface with a Meta logo, and they claim that their App is a product from Meta.
But the fact is that they are using the Go share trademark for their own benefit, which means that the Go share app is a legit application owned by Meta, and it is used by drivers to search for customers online. But these scammers are using this Go share trademark name to promote their fake platform.
To register on the platform, you have to enter your phone number plus email and also your bank account details, like bank account number and IFSC code, to receive your earnings.
When you successfully register into the platform, you will see an option that says link to WhatsApp, and here the scam starts. When you click on that option, the app will say that your DP will be changed, and that DP will be of any random girl when you link your WhatsApp account.
After giving all the permissions, they will give you a link that you have to share on any other device through WhatsApp or Telegram, and when you open that link with your other device, a QR will appear that you have to scan from your WhatsApp link for a device option.
When you scan that QR code, the app creators will get access to your WhatsApp account, and the platform says that they rent your WhatsApp account for marketing purposes, but they are probably scamming someone by using your identity.

This scam app also offers to earn from your Instagram, Facebook, and Telegram accounts by simply giving account access to them.
Note: The Go Share app clearly mentions that if any of your WhatsApp, Facebook, Telegram, and Instagram accounts get blocked, then you are responsible for it.
The Consequences You Can Face If Someone Files a Complaint Against Your Number
If you have registered on the Go Share WhatsApp app and have given your WhatsApp access to the app creators for so-called marketing purposes, then this can involve you in legal cases because these app creators, called scammers, are using your WhatsApp to scam someone, and if that person who got scammed files a complaint against your number, then you can get in legal trouble.
Here are the consequences you will face:
Police can call you for interrogation: In this Go Share case, someone else is using your number for illegal activities, and if your number gets linked to illegal activities like harassment or any cybercrime, the police will investigate you as police can easily trace your personal details through your mobile number.
Seizure of your Phone: If your mobile number gets linked to some serious illegal activities like online fraud or scam, then in some cases your mobile phone can be seized.
Your friends or referrals can also get in legal trouble: If you have invited your friends through your referral link, then they may also get in legal trouble along with you.
What to do in this case?
In your case, someone else is misusing your mobile or WhatsApp number for online fraud or scams, and in this case, you can tell all the things or processes you have followed in this app so that the police can understand your situation and investigate further.
The police may contact your internet service provider for more details or may trace the origin of the calls or messages to catch the real culprit.
