Earning money through testing websites and giving opinions is now a common thing that most people do in their free time. There are several user-testing websites you can use to make money by testing websites, and Trymata is one of them.
In this article, we are going to give some unbiased reviews of this website and will try to understand whether it is worth your precious time or not.
Trymata History
Trymata, previously known as Trymyui, is a very popular user-testing platform launched in 2015 by two college students, Ritvij Gautam and Tim Rotolo. Firstly, it was launched under the name Trymyui, but later, it changed its brand name to Trymata on October 14, 2022, as it expanded beyond usability testing.
It allows website owners to test their websites through usability testing. Through usability testing, website owners can collect users’ opinions regarding their website, which helps them improve their website and make it more user-friendly.
On Trymata, users can earn money by becoming testers and by completing paid tests. There are various types of studies available in which you can participate and make money.
Sign Up Process
The signup process is simple, and anyone from anywhere can sign up and become a Trymata tester.
Once you sign up and create your account, you will be redirected to your dashboard, where the tests will appear, but to be eligible for the paid test, you have to clear a practice test.
The practice proves your eligibility for paid tests, and you will not get paid for the practice test. Once you clear the practice test, you will be eligible for the paid tests. You will be notified via email when any test is available.
How much You can earn from Trymata
Trymata pays you between $5 and $30 for every test you complete. You will get your rewards only when the test gets approved, and you will receive your earnings directly in your PayPal account.
The studies usually take 15-20 minutes to complete, but sometimes it can take up to 30–60 minutes to complete a test.
How to Participate in Tests
To participate in paid tests, you have to simply sign up on the platform and download the Trymata recorder. When you enter any test, you have to download the test instructions file to perform the required task.
You can download the recorder on any of your devices, and it is mandatory to download it to participate in tests.
The recorder records your actions, and you have to speak out loud about your thoughts regarding the test or study. After you complete the given tasks mentioned in the instruction file, you have to complete a survey related to your study.
Remember that you have to express your thoughts clearly, and they have to be related to the test that you are performing, as the website owners want to know your thoughts clearly, which helps them improve their website or app.

With overall ratings, this shows that the platform is legit but there are some pros and cons of this platform:
Pros
- Available worldwide.
- Compatible for all devices.
- Easy payment process.
- No minimum cashout amount is required.
- Easy to use and understand.
Cons

My Personal Experience with Trymata
My experience with this platform is not that good, as I only received a few tests on it. The practice test was pretty simple and easy to pass, and anyone can easily pass this test without any problem.
When I signed up and cleared the practice test, I received my first paid test after 20 days, which was for $5, and it took me around 10 to 15 minutes to complete the test. After that test, I received another test, maybe after one month or something, which was for $10, and after that, I have not received any of the paid tests.
The platform is legit and simple to understand, and I have received all my earnings on my PayPal account. But one thing I noticed is that the number of surveys or tests depends upon your demographics, as in India there are very few earning opportunities on Trymata.
Overall, it is a decent platform that you can use to generate some extra income, but remember, don’t see it as a source of permanent income as the earning opportunities are limited.
